Comrades, countrymen. I am sure over the last year many have wondered, "what is to become of our beloved Misplaced Music." Although we have kept the radio stream going for the many who would barely make it through their work day without the soothing sounds of our spin on the best of local offerings, our other public endeavors for the most part had halted. The answer to what has truly been happening behind the scenes may surprise many of you.
About a year ago, a fine chap by the name of Pete Wannemacher joined forces with MMR and quickly began wielding his magical brand of administrative jodu by assisting Sam and I in getting MMR set up as an official Incorporated non-profit in MN. This takes us a lot closer to were we want and need to be to achieve our goals of creating a sustainable and ideally altruistic media resource for local music.
Because of the nature of these things, I will spare you the whole "new website, new look, new coat of paint, and a free Christmas turkey coming soon" speech. However let's just say, for those who have been with us from the get go, June 19th marks our four year anniversary, and you should expect to hear some noise coming from our bandwagon once again.
Until next time,
